Plasma membrane integrity remained stable throughout the evaluations. Additionally, rSDF1 was quantified from T0 to T6, while rSDF2 was measured from T6 to T24. rSDF1 ranged from 0.4 to 7.7% in fresh samples and from 1.9 to 6.5% in DGC samples.

Despite these findings, the mechanisms by which repeated ejaculations at short abstinence times affect the quality of sperm have not been well studied. Nevertheless, these results indicate that additional semen samples may be beneficial in assisted reproduction.

Among other findings, the study found that the conventional semen parameters did not decline below the WHO 2010 minimum criteria until the third evaluation. Although not statistically significant, the oxidative stress adduct test indicated that the sperm structures generated molecules from covalent reactions with reactive oxygen species.
